Every sport has its favorites, which can to a degree be predicted by looking at the overall strength of each player and their previous seasons. But, you cannot always account for every team and their atmosphere, not to mention that sometimes, individuals rise and beat all expectations, if there were any to begin with.

The 2021 season will show us some amazing football plays, hopefully. With that, here are the teams to look out for, the ones which are likely to do well.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have already had great success in the NFL and in 2021, their roster is looking to be solid. The better the quarterback, the more work he can do covering the team’s weaknesses. In the case of the Chiefs, the quarterback is pretty good, and that might be an understatement. Patrick Mahomes, just 25, is showing that he can do work. On the other end, the Chiefs have a solid defense, so their overall game is looking dangerous for opposing teams.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills, like the Chiefs, have something in common, the quarterback being good. Josh Allen is one of those quarterbacks who you have to fear once you get onto the field. He has years of experience behind him and his most recent seasons have proved him to be a very good player, one that can win you the game.

But the quarterback cannot do the work on his own. With a good offensive line, the Bills are looking to be quite the threat. Their defense is also nothing to be ashamed of, on the contrary.

Los Angeles Chargers

There are the obvious teams which people will point to the first, but then there are the Chargers. Overlooked by many, the Chargers are obvious candidates to upset a lot of “favorites”. As with the rest of the teams on the list, the quarterback, Justin Herbert, a 2020 rookie of the year (offensive rookie), is looking as good as in the previous year. Their records might not be as good as the other teams’ yet they have both the offense and the defense to bring it to the “favorites”.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns have everything the other teams on the list have, including a good quarterback. The quarterback is the most popular position in football so it only makes sense that teams with the best quarterbacks look like the biggest contenders.

Baker Mayfield is a great quarterback and he is surrounded by other amazing players, both on offense and defense. Myles Garret does a great job on the defense side of things. The Browns are probably the best looking team coming into the 2021 season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers, the pirates of football, a team others will definitely fear, and not just for their name. Given that they are defending Super Bowl champions and that they also have a very similar lineup to the one which one the Super Bowl. With that in mind, their quarterback, Tom Brady, is very well known in the world of football. He will be 44 in 2021 but he is still looking really good. On the other end, Shaq Barrett is an amazing defender and the team is simply bursting with talent, most of whom stayed for the 2021 season.
